We have been homeschooling since Brishen was in kindergarten. I absolutely love the homeschool lifestyle and the time I get to spend with my children and the relaxed pace of our life. Brishen is ready for his Sophomore year, and Basia is a 5th grader. Here are our loose plans:
10th Grade:
Rhetoric I
Spanish I
Calculus I
Physics
Omnibus IV
Memory Work
Somehow keeping up with all those years of Latin now that there's nowhere to advance further.
5th Grade:
Sonlight CORE for History and Geography and Literature and Bible and Science
Math--ugg, still not finding a single program that is perfect for her, so ???
Handwriting
Memory Work
Shurley Grammar
Writing With Ease
Preschool:
Some of my kids are going to our church's private preschool, quite frankly to cut down on childcare costs from our fostering requirement of having 2 caregivers at all times. Zade will be staying home with me, so I will dabble in a bit of schooling from time to time if he is interested. The littlest two will also be home, so we will have circle time, read lots of books, and have a bit of a Montessori environment for some unstructured learning. Next year I will likely keep everyone home unless it seems the school environment is best for one or two of the kids. Time will tell.
