Going Green

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Jon got our day off to a green start with very green French toast. Basia wouldn't even take a bite.

Brishen looked forward to pinching Basia this morning because she didn't wear green pajamas. He didn't get so lucky, though. Before she ever came out of her room, she put on a green shirt and green shorts. I can't believe she thought of it all on her own! Here she is adding a bit of green to her skin, too, with paint. She happily smeared a bit on Granddad's hand when he came by to pinch everyone who doesn't have green eyes.

Jon had the day off today, and he spent most of it tackling some of those "honey-do's". He did take a break now and then to have some fun. This is what his pants looked like after some fancy tricks on the trampoline. You're wondering what I did today?? I spent the day eating chocolate (it IS a holiday, after all) and then walking about 14 miles. I still don't think I burned enough calories to make up for all the little chocolate eggs!

The saddest part...
the "tricks" weren't even that hard!
(And I loved those jeans!)
Still... it made the kids laugh like leprechauns.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
