National Reading Day
Monday was National Reading Day, and we celebrate books BIG TIME around here. I offered to cancel all regular school work (usually 3-4 hours a day for Brishen) in exchange for 5 hours of reading. I offered a reward (trip to the movies) for 8 hours of reading. Brishen finished the day with 9 1/2 hours of reading! He gets a kiddie pack at the theater for that extra time he logged. Basia also gets to go to a movie, since she listened to 22 books on Monday. Read on!!

Hey, honey! Hooray for staring a blog.
It took me until the next day to join the family accomplishments and finish "The Poisonwood Bible," but, hey, it's hard to measure up to Brishen the Book Devourer!
I have read more books in the past year than I have the rest of my life. I will never be able to read fast, but at least I am making an effort. :) On one subject anyway. :) Great Job Brishen and Basia!
