Backpacks

Basia has always had a "thing" for backpacks. She loads them up for her many adventures with her imaginary friend, all his friends, and his dog. They go to school out in our back yard, go to Alaska quite often, go skiing, visit El Paso, and many other places. She always has a backpack with her when she goes. There are often three backpacks filled with toy assortments at the same time in her room. It drives me crazy because it is so much random stuff to put away. I have never actually taken the contents of a backpack out and studied what was inside. I would love to get inside Basia's brain to figure out what makes her choose those particular items to take on that particular adventure. Here's what I found in a backpack today:
2 harmonicas
1 light-up dinosaur
1 tiger
1 Color Wonder marker
1 race car
2 mini cameras
1 Mickey Mouse watch
1 whistle
1 plank of plastic wood with two screws (she usually calls these "remotes" when she builds them)
1 penguin in a bottle set
1 pink puff ball glued on a stick
24 firefighters
her beloved dog, Ruby
