Cause and Effect

If you let a child (or two) bake, decorate, and eat cupcakes before taking them to Music in the Park, you will have some very wild children on your hands. Sorry, Mom! I didn't get any wild pictures of Brishen, but I assure you that Basia was not the only one driving me a little crazy last night!

As for today, I didn't take any pictures, but that doesn't mean we didn't do anything. Brishen had his first day of Space Camp. Basia and I walked around the downtown area after we dropped Brishen off, waiting for COAS to open. Basia insisted that we go into a music store, where she talked me into buying her a recorder. I think she really wanted either a saxophone or a drum set, but she settled. We then browsed the shelves of books at COAS for a while before we headed home. After we picked Brishen up, we ate lunch on a blanket outside the library and went to see the free kid's movie late in the afternoon. All in all, it was a nice day.

I love crazy and wild evenings. I had a blast. Quiet kids are way over-rated!

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
