My Special Day

I don't have pictures, but I wanted to share a bit about my special day on Saturday. My sister took me out and spoiled me. I got my eyebrows waxed for the first time in my life. It's too bad that my eyebrows are so light that you have to squint and look closely to see the results.

Saralyn and I got our make-up professionally done, and I got a consultation to give me make-up tips. Now I just need to buy some make-up. If you see Saralyn, please ask her why she was wearing clubbing make-up (majorly smokey eyes) and clown eyebrows out in the middle of the day. I looked lovely, of course. Honestly, Saralyn did, too, but she was embarrassed, and now I can't help but laugh at her reaction every time she saw herself in a mirror or ran into someone she knew. I am laughing now just remembering!

We then went to a movie and out to eat. I was truly spoiled.

Now there was one time in the day that I felt a little less than spoiled. Drop off time. It was raining buckets and had been for most of the day. There was a river running down my street including in front of my house. Saralyn didn't really want to cross the river and pull into my driveway. That meant that I got to take off my shoes, hike up my jeans, leap out of her car (she barely stopped), and wade through the river with who-knows-what flowing and hitting me on the backs of my ankles. Adventure!

Anyways, thanks Saralyn for the awesome day!!
