I know, I know, I shouldn't ask the rain to go away since we have been dreaming of it for months. However, these two pictures show just one of the (uh-um) several leaks in our house. I am so glad that we bought an older house--really--but this would be one of the down sides. When you have a lot of extra money, you call someone to fix the roof. When you don't, you put towels and buckets in the appropriate places and are thankful that you live in the desert.
Here I am looking and feeling like a drowned rat after my 5-mile walk this morning. Maybe I should have taken the day off. I did cut my walk down to only half of what I wanted to do.
The kids definitely know how to make the most of a rainy day!
