Since the day of Basia's birthday last year, she has been asking for a "rocket party" for when she turned five. Brishen wanted to have an alien party for his tenth birthday. The smart mother that I am could see the connection between those two themes and also noticed that their birthdays are only two weeks apart. That led to a combined space party that was held yesterday.
There were 17 kids there and who knows how many adults. Jon led Brishen's group in most of their activities, and I tried to lead Basia's group in theirs. We had so much help preparing for the party and so much help during the party. Thank you to everyone that helped make the big, crazy day such a success! The following several posts highlight different parts of the party.
