Thanksgiving '08

I had Brishen grate the carrots and cut off the ends. He had a little too much fun, and he didn't quite get the concept of grating INTO the trash can as opposed to all over the floor.

Jon, Brishen, and I did the Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning. It was Brishen's first 5K ever, and he did a great job. I competed in the walking category and won 1st place among the women for the second year in a row. Now there will really be pressure next year. Jon did great, too, especially since he sat out last year while several others of us did it. This year he joined us in the fun.

We spent most of Thanksgiving Day at my Aunt Shirley's house, where 26 people were gathered. We ate lots of delicious food (of course), played Cutthroat Rummy and horseshoes, talked a lot of politics, and enjoyed each other. I really didn't take too many pictures of the event, but here are a few.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
