Children's Christmas Program

I guess you know by now that if you visit MY blog, you will hear unbridled bragging about MY kids. Here I go again. Our church's Christmas program was this past Sunday. Brishen was an announcer. He was amazing (yes, it's his mother's opinion but there were others gushing about him, too). He really showed leadership and confidence, and I was very proud of him. The picture above is of him in his "costume." He was supposed to dress up in a tie, but he would have much preferred a shepherd's robe or virtually anything else.
Basia was a sheep--after rejecting the donkey costume because of a missing tail and a cow costume because of issues with the hat. She refrained from playing or doing anything distracting and even walked away when another kid tried to play. She's growing up. She also kept Jon and I cracking up by singing songs that she didn't know with such feeling. I wish I had gotten it on video.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
