This is a quote from someone who was in last weekend's race. It is so awesome to keep hearing race reports and feedback about how well Brishen did as a volunteer. The race director was hesitant about having him volunteer because of his age. She has no qualms about asking him back next year.
"All week long I've found my mind drifting back to the race. The course is fantastic and the volunteers were amazing. I can still see the smiles on their faces. I remember one boy at station 2. He was around 12 years old...maybe younger. I told him he would win this race some day and I hope he does. He was so nice as were all the folks helping us."

Wow, what wonderful words to remember always. We know what a treasure he is but it is so nice to have others confirm our thoughts. You should feel so proud to have such a loving and caring son! (I am proud as a grandmother)
That's so cool! Hopefully Brishen will remember her saying he'd win the race someday so he can prove her right!
