Basia hasn't owned any lace-up shoes for quite a while, so I never was able to teach her how to tie her laces. When I unloaded her container of summer clothes yesterday, I found these shoes that I had bought a while back that now fit her. She tried them on this morning, and I taught her how to tie the laces in just a few minutes. I was sure that she would have a hard time and really resist help, but she watched carefully a couple times and then did it on her own.
