A Happy Easter, Indeed

We had a really great Easter! Jon was at church by 5:45am for his sunrise service. My mom and I played bells for the three services after sunrise, and it was amazing to see our little church fill up beyond capacity. We later had a cookout with a great group of friends and family here at our house. The food was great, and we all talked for hours!

I heard from a lady at church that she couldn't get Basia out of her head after seeing her at church. She said that seeing the little girls all dressed up is one of the great joys of Easter. Several people called her a princess (my Basia???), and I think she really felt like one by the end of the morning.

Basia was pleased to get lots of career wear for her Barbie-type dolls. All the clothes were for the girls, but she really prefers her two boy dolls, so they ended up wearing firefighter jackets with pink accents and doctor coats with the word "Barbie" on it. They didn't complain a bit.

Brishen got some books in his basket, including a guide to playing Chess. He has big plans for his next game with Jon.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
