I recently helped my sister pack and unpack for her move to her new house. When doing so, I gave her a hard time for keeping fancy dishes that she never, ever uses. What a waste of space!
Guess what? I have my own stash of fancy dishes that have been in their boxes ever since we moved into this house over two years ago. They haven't seen a bit of daylight, much less mashed potatoes and gravy.
I decided not to be such a hypocrite. I pulled all those little boxes off the shelf in my garage this evening. The dishes have all been taken out, washed, and put into my cabinets for EVERYDAY use! No occasion has been fancy enough for me to want to take them all out of the box and clean them up. Now no occasion will be too casual for taking them out of the cabinet. Come over for some toast and jelly. The plates will be lovely and the jelly homemade!

I am going to take you up on the toast, jelly and pretty dishes. Grandmother would be proud you are going to use pretty dishes. Don't forget to put the jelly in a pretty dish too! haha
