Why I Love My Church
There are actually a lot of reasons why I love my church, but one of them is its eagerness to do mission work. I have gotten to be a part of a lot of mission work this summer at church. My Sunday school class raised over three hundred dollars through a walk-a-thon to send to Sudan to help the children in refugee camps. We also raised money (still have to count all that change to know exactly how much) to send children in Laos to school. We got to stuff backpacks full, and will do some more stuffing on Sunday, of school supplies for kids who come to our food and clothing pantry. Finally the kids and I participated in The Great Cookie Giveaway, handing out plates of cookies to random people in city offices, fire stations, post offices, construction crews, and others we passed on the way.
