Brishen:
46. Brisingr by Christopher Paolini
47. The Riot Brothers: Take the Mummy and Run by Mary Amatto
48. I, Freddy by Dietlof Reiche
49. Freddy in Peril by Deitlof Reiche
Melani:
51. The Golden Goblet by Eloise McGraw
Here's another book I read before assigning to Brishen. It was an enjoyable book set in Ancient Egypt.
52. Julie and Julia by Julie Powell
My mom enjoyed the movie, so I thought I may enjoy the book. I did. If I weren't already a vegetarian, I think the book may inspire me to become one. But maybe the meat sections were only gross because I'm a vegetarian. The author is dissatisfied with her life and decides to take a leap and make every recipe from one of Julia Child's French cookbooks. The book follows her journey. I don't think I would enjoy French cooking, if this book is any indication. I do now want to see the movie.
53. I'd Rather We Got Casinos and Other Black Thoughts by Larry Wilmore
The author works for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, so you know I enjoyed the humor in this book. It was not deep reading or highly insightful, but it was fun.
DID YOU NOTICE??? I met the challenge of reading 52 books this year! I did it!! Now I can start taking care of my kids again. Or watch some movies. Or sleep. Just kidding, I plan to keep reading.

28.Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Woohoo! I love to be challenged. I don't think reading 52 books is in my future calling though.
What did Jon think about "The Book Thief?" I would so read that one again! Did you ever read "The Literary Guernsey Society?" I can't remember if you posted on that one. I am reading "The Soloist," with plans to reread "Kite Runner," and to read "Doubt," which was written by Joe's boss's brother!
P.S. Congrats on making your goal and kicking the challenge in the hiney!
