1. Ate Coco Puffs for breakfast--this year we started a new tradition where the kids get to choose any box of cereal in the store for their birthday breakfast. I just don't buy them those kinds of cereal any other time of the year, so it gives them a chance to chose one of those boxes that we usually walk past.
3. 6-mile bike ride along the Rio Grande River
4. Built both Lego sets from Grandma in an hour or so
5.Watched Star Wars with Dad while his sister napped
6. Pizza for supper, and I didn't even make him eat the squash that I steamed to go with it
7. Tae Kwon Do practice at church
His gifts: IPod portable boom box, Killer Bunnies game expansion set, Target gift cards, itunes gift card, Magic Eye book, Pentago game, two Calvin and Hobbes books, an Asterix compilation book, two Ranger's Apprentice books, Escape of the Mini Mummy book, Fablehaven Book 2, Word Puzzles book, two Lego Power Miners sets, and a pogo stick that we left in Aunt Saralyn's garage and forgot to give him (I'm blogging this before we've given it to him)
10. Sleepover at Grandmother's house
And a few weeks ago, he chose a day at Wet and Wild instead of having a party with friends this year, so we did that for his birthday, too.

Looks like he had a great day! Can't even believe he's 11! I still remember taking a walk with him in Maryland when he was just a tiny little thing in overalls! That shirt he's wearing isn't the one we got him from Germany, is it? If it is, we sure didn't do a very good job of getting him the right size if he can still wear it! :)
Hey Melani--I'll be in LC Oct. 14th and 19th (the in-between days I'm flying to CA with Kent). Would you be willing to have coffee with me so I can ask you questions about our adoption? Would love some "inside" information! My e-mail is: lindygregg@gmail.com. That might be easier to communicate. Thanks!!
