Interview

What do you want to be when you grow up? I don't know. An archaeologist.

If you had all day to do anything you wanted, what would you do? (big smile) I'd skip school. I would go to Wet and Wild if it were in the summer.

What are your favorite board games? Killer Bunnies, Ticket to Ride, and Carcassonne

Do you enjoy sports? Um, yeah. Mostly basketball. And Tae Kwon Do.

What is the hardest thing for you to do? Um, not being able to buy a book I want.

What foods do you dislike? I hate mushrooms. Strawberries are revolting. I despise squash.

What school subject do you dislike? I dislike typing. I hate writing. Grammar is bad. Spelling is seriously bad.

What is your least favorite household chore? Oooh. Cleaning the microwave. Toilets aren't that bad compared to microwaves.

What is your favorite thing to do with Basia? Play Carcassonne and the Dungeon game. I also like doing math with her.

What is your favorite thing to do with Dad? Um, play video games and Killer Bunnies.

What is your favorite thing to do with Mom? Go to church because I like to hear you laugh.

(Can I just give a disclaimer about the microwave thing? He is supposed to clean the microwave every Monday. We happened to have heated chili in the microwave shortly after he had cleaned it last. He was not happy about scrubbing all the exploding chili out of it this week. Normally it's not that bad, and I certainly would not claim that our microwave is worse than a toilet. Thanks, Brishen.)

What a wonderful and funny kid! Great to read all his likes and especially his dislikes.

The microwave thing doesn't concern me. What concerns me is why you're laughing in church. :)

Have you met my minister? Enough said.

I'm sure I'm laughing with him and not at him.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
