I needed a break from all the other books I'm reading, so I stole this one out of Jon's library book pile. It's similar to a book I read earlier in the year, but I'm too lazy to look through my old posts to figure out the title of the other one. The author went undercover as a front-line employee at several different companies: UPS, Gap, Starbucks, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and the Apple Store. He definitely has me convinced that some of those places are not for me--I cannot imagine folding shirts all day at Gap. He also has me convinced (still) to not buy the insurance when renting a car. If I ever become destitute and cannot find a job in my degree area, or decide that I'd rather not, I'm heading for UPS! Heck I'd like to work their Christmas rush season this year, only I have all these kids that I'm sort of responsible for...
