Here we are, in week 45 of the 52-week challenge. It feels like the 20th mile of a marathon--I'm hitting the wall. I'm finding it harder and harder to find something I feel like reading. I tried to read some fiction, thinking I need a change of pace. I read a page, a chapter, and even 170 pages of several books, none of which I can get myself to finish. I know there are millions of books out there that I would enjoy. I'm just getting tired of having a timeline and a commitment to report in every week.
But guess what? I've done a marathon or two. I have what it takes to make it past the 20th mile. I have plans to go to the library and check out a huge pile of books. I am going to finish this challenge. 7 weeks to go. We're almost there. I have to get really busy, though, if I want to beat that son of mine! Luckily it's not that kind of challenge (at least that's what I'll keep telling myself!)
Brishen:
66. Fablehaven: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary by Brandon Mull
Melani:
63. Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey
Yes, I read the other of his books to make sure I'm really prepared for the class I'm taking now and teaching in a few months. It has lots of good tips, and reading it helps me stay inspired
