Read her Blog

http://www.greggfamilycolorado.blogspot.com/

I hope you all will follow the link above and read Lindy's (hi, Lindy!) post, "Words for Sunday." We should each be doing our part!

My kids are raising money through their Sunday School for mosquito nets for families in the Congo through next October. They have been busy producing artwork for an art sale on December 13th to raise funds. Each net only costs $10 and can protect a family of four for several years. If enough people in the village get a net, the insecticide on the nets protects the entire village, even those who don't have nets.

Brishen and Basia would love to sell you an original piece of artwork on the 13th or any other day. If you have other creative ways for them to raise money to save lives, please let us know.

The clergy spouses of the NM Conference of the United Methodist Church are raising money to send children in the Congo to school. $75 will send a child to school for the year, and we all know the lasting effect that education can have. When the children are educated, they become better able to solve the problems that plague their continent.

There are so many who need our help and so many ways to help. Please consider ways you can help those in Africa. Please.

Thank you, Melani! I've never been "referenced" before on someone else's blog--I feel almost famous! We are purchasing mosquito nets for our daughters family in Ethiopia as well. Her mom died of malaria this past summer. So preventable. Thank you for raising awareness as well! Surely we can all make a difference!
