12 Days of Christmas Play

Here's my usual disclaimer: my camera does not take anything close to acceptable pictures inside our sanctuary. Look at the fuzzy images and try to imagine real people in costumes, having a lot of fun.

Jon wrote this year's Christmas pageant for our church. He based it on the 12 Days of Christmas song. The actors and the writer got rave reviews. It was anything but normal, and that's what people enjoyed. Above you will see the writer as the "maid a milking."

singing a lovely Christmas carol with cell phones waving in the air--the audience joined along

Here's the grandpa. His main line was, "yep," and he said it a lot. At least one lady from the church had to look in the program to realize it was Brishen with that white hair and beard and mannerisms of an ancient one.

Above you will see the "Lords" basketball team a' leapin'.
Grandpa got to play bells and even do a Tae Kwon Do form during the pageant.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
