Vocabulary
I've noticed that Basia is really trying to improve her vocabulary lately. She is trying her hand at quite a few big, impressive words. She does get a bit creative with her prefixes, suffixes, and pronunciations, though. Here's the latest: we have a light in our van that just won't turn off while we are driving. She was talking to me about it and said that it was quite "lilious." "Lilious," I asked, "Do you mean mysterious?" I just couldn't quite figure out what lilious could be. She explained the meaning to me, and I said, "Oh, do you mean 'luminous'?" "Yeah, luminous!" All I can figure is that she heard in some Christmas story.
