Our dog, Charlie, is really smart (actually, he's not, but that wouldn't be nice to say). He is great at understanding our human language. When I tell one of the kids, to "feed the dogs," Charlie's tail starts wagging, and he jumps down and runs to the door. The kids have always been impressed by that.
That is, they were impressed until I told them that you could probably say anything that sounds somewhat similar at the right time of the day, and he'd get excited in the same way. Now Charlie gets really excited when we "weed the frogs" or "seed the hogs." He's one smart dog, I tell you.
