since my house was beautifully cleaned yesterday.
1. We slept in the beds, and today is the first day in a long time that I just don't care to make mine again.
2. Basia did crafts that involved lots of tiny pieces of paper and green yarn. There is evidence of this in a surprising number of places.
3. Basia played with play-doh. Enough said.
4. Brishen built a rocket kit from his grandmother and knocked it over inside, spilling lots of white powder (I'm assured it's baking soda) all over my floor.
5. Brishen set off a rocket or two outside, creating a spray that makes it completely unbelievable that the windows were really just cleaned one day ago.
6. I took a bath in my giant jet tub, the first one in a month or so, yes, the very day after it was beautifully cleaned. Should I mention that I haven't washed my bath mat yet, so I (yep, the responsible one here) got wet footprints on the floor.
7. I cooked. We ate. Nobody did the breakfast dishes.
8. Jon came home from a retreat and loaded our laundry basket to the very top. He gets the retreat, and I get the laundry. How exactly is that fair?
I'm sure there's more. I just don't care to think too much more about it right now. Just remember this: if you come to my house and it is in a state of disaster, you may be only a very few hours too late to have seen it sparklingly clean.
