There are hidden dangers of that whole "fall back" time change thing that I was just not prepared for. I got ready for my boot camp this morning--my EARLY morning boot camp--my 5:30am boot camp. I've been doing it for a month or so now, so I know the drill. As I got dressed and did my hair under very low light conditions (you see, I was trying to be a kind wife and let my husband sleep past my 5am wake-up time), I reasoned, "who cares if I don't match and if my hair looks ridiculous? It is still dark when I'm done with boot camp, so no one can see what I look like anyway."
Oops. The sun rose over the park this morning while boot camp was still in session. There was light. For the first time, I could see my fellow boot-campers (whose hair was all long enough for a decent pony tail and who all chose matching clothing).
Here's the bad part. They could see me, too. They could see the stray, very unruly curls in my hair, caused by sweat from a tough taekwondo workout last night and then a decent night of sleep. They could see that I chose to wear a bright blue shirt and a teal sweatshirt at the same time. They could see that I hadn't made sure all the previous days' eye make-up was completely washed away. They promised they would blur my face if they took any pictures, or at least photoshop someone else's head on top of mine.
Darn time change!

This is too funny. You can't say you won't see any of those people again either. at least your shoes matched. Mom
Kind of like taking the girls to the bus stop. At certain times of the year, it's perfectly acceptable to go without makeup and with a less-than-stellar hairdo. This time of year is not one of those times. . .
