Fun Times in Austin

Joe is wearing the pants that go with the matching pajamas that Grandmother gave to each grandchild.  They look cute on Joe, but cuter on the grandkids.

 Brishen and Kylie building Legos

"Up-A-Sairs" was a phrase that each one of us heard countless times.  This was Camden's first real experience with stairs, and he wanted to go up them over and over and over and over and over...

Ah, the boys.  I hear Charles was the champion.

The Winkles gave Brishen this Scrabble game, and many of us spent hours playing it over the course of the visit.

 "The Pretzel Incident"

I really wish we had a Freebirds restaurant in El Paso.  It's an awesome place.  Diana was the only one brave enough to go for the "Monster" size burrito.

Every single meal and snack was beyond delicious.  My sister went out of her way to spoil us rotten.  It was rough getting home tonight and realizing that she wasn't here to plan and execute three meals a day for me.  Last night she forgot she lives in Austin, where they don't know what "red or green?" means and have something called "Ranchero Sauce," and she formed an assembly line of enchiladas, made to order.  I kind of wanted leftovers tonight.

Here are grandchildren 1 and 2, playing Scrabble Flash.

Here are grandchildren 3 and 4, looking cute with matching toothless grins which you can't see too well in this picture.  Grandchildren 5 and 6 were the cutest, but I didn't get a picture of them in their shirts.  Robin did do a couple photo shoots of the whole group of kids, and I'll be sure to share the pictures.

Grandkids 2-5 playing with the animals and barn that Camden got for Christmas.

In case you couldn't tell, we had a wonderful visit to Austin!  My kids are excited to share what it looked like when we drove into El Paso this evening:

A Merry Christmas break indeed!

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
