I Just Realized
I just realized that I am sitting in a mostly dark room, eating my stir fry. This stir fry contains water chestnuts. I could have put a water chestnut in my mouth and not have noticed until that HORRIBLE crunching sound was heard. I might have died. There has never been a food more despised in the history of food than the water chestnut by yours truly. Let this be a lesson to all: eat your leftover stir fry with the lights on!

Really?? Water chestnuts?? More despised that grissle in MEAT?? Wow. I would never have guessed!
Oh, yes, Lindy! There should not be the sound or feel of CRUNCHing when you are eating soft foods! I hate onions, but even that hatred doesn't compare to water chestnuts! I even shudder at the sound they make when your fork touches them. Ick!!!
My children are not at all dramatic!
