First of all, as soon as Camden sees a camera, this is the face he makes. He is trying to be so very helpful with his smile, but I spent the rest of the night sneaking up on him and trying to get more spontaneous pictures. That didn't work, either, so you get what you get.
As far as happy goes, we are so happy to have Camden at our house. Basia is especially blissful. My goodness, this girl LOVES having someone to take care of, and she is so sweet about it! She was helping Camden wash his hands, and I heard her singing a made-up "wash your hands" song to him. She has already informed me that she will be dressing him in the morning and that she will have him go potty after he gets dressed. I'm not so sure that she has picked the right order of events, but at least she's thinking ahead.
As far as sad goes, the reason we have Camden at our house is because his 2-month-old, precious sister, Kaia, has been admitted to the hospital for the second time in her short life. We are all praying that the doctors can figure out what is wrong and can make her all the way better this time.
I am finding it fun to have a 2-year-old tattle tale in the house again. He came to me this evening, showed me his hands full of toys and told me, "MY guys. Basia: no, no! Brishen: no, no!" I had to go investigate who had been telling him no and explain to them that those were Camden's guys. He wasn't happy until both my children listened to my mock lecture and responded with, "OK." They tried to explain what was going on first, but I assured them they should just say, "OK." Sure enough, he was happy to play with them again once they admitted their fault.
