You should feel lucky (????) to be in the elite group who gets to see this study of my natural hair. It is a scary sight, that has caused my extended family many laughing fits when seen on sleep-overs and at early morning surprises. I should have taken a picture after I brushed it--STRAIGHT DOWN--and then left it alone to dry in its own special way.
Here is my fancy, giant LUMP. I don't know what else to call it. It isn't a curl. It isn't just a wave. It is a lump.
Here is a rear view. I'm just not sure what is going on back there. It looks like a nest is being expertly weaved by some sort of bird or baboon. Remember, it was brushed straight down and then left alone.
Across the part from the LUMP, you can find the ringlets. Or partial ringlets, with some straightness and some waviness above and some unidentified de-ringletting below.
Now you see why I live in fear of the doorbell on days when I have not blow dried my hair or gotten around to the rescue and recovery efforts that is my daily hair duty.
