Good Ol' Basia

Some of Basia's recent thoughts:

1.  Dad:  I'm going to get some laundry going.  Basia:  I didn't know you knew how to work the washer and drier.

2.  Basia read my shirt that said "I Love Peace" and responded:  I don't like peace.  Mom:  Why?  Basia:  I like to have people all around me.

3.  We're all fans of Martin Luther King, Junior.  We celebrate his holiday by reading lots of books about him.  One such book said that he "turned the world upside down."  Basia now credits him with any social advancement since ancient times.

Women in Ancient Rome weren't allowed to sit in the Colosseum lower sections with the men.  Basia:  It's not like that any more because Martin Luther King, Junior, turned the world upside down.

We read about the caste system in Ancient India and the requirement that you followed the occupation of your father without choice.  Basia:  Thank goodness Martin Luther King, Junior, turned the world upside down.  Now we can be whatever we want to be!
