Investiture Ceremony for Girl Scouts

The "Investiture Ceremony" for Girl Scouts is the beginning ceremony where girls get their vests.  Basia was one proud Girl Scout at today's ceremony.

There are ten Girl Scout Laws that correspond to colors.  The girls stated the laws and painted one nail on each other's hand the corresponding color.  Cute stuff!

Here is Basia giving her Girls Scout Promise in order to get her vest.

She is so proud of her vest and the badges she has earned so far!

The girls also did a skit as part of their ceremony.  They came up with the idea (recycling-in honor of Earth Day), wrote the script, divided parts, and performed for us.  Basia was the "I'm too busy to recycle" business person who threw her coffee cup and newspaper on the ground until she learned better from the girls scouts.
