we try hard to keep up with the various suggested craft projects and science experiments. As the months go on, a certain mom may not be quite as gung-ho about constant messes and extra work, er, I mean, fun.
So far, we have:
sewed a coin purse with Roman coins inside
made a Roman feast
made a Celtic double-headed battle axe, painted faces with appropriate war paint and staged a battle
hung a fancy solar system from our ceiling (crazy balloons they sent with the kit are way off in size)
made lemons into batteries
practiced medieval writing with quills
discovered the crazy qualities of yeast
made a tree out of tiny mustard seeds
made a thing-a-ma-bob out of stuff and used my hairdryer to make it do acrobatics
melted chocolate with concentrated power of the sun under a magnifying glass
