Making a Weekend of It
The kids and I made a fun weekend of our trip to Albuquerque for the taekwondo tournament. We stayed in a hotel with a warm pool and hot tub (in addition to a hot breakfast where 40+ elderly people were seen in very formal attire at 8am!). We ate post-victory dinner with our good friends, the Andersons. We visited the Museum of Natural History and Science, which I've loved since I was their age and both kids love now. We even stopped at both Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. It was very nice to relax together and enjoy something besides school for a change.
