Visions of "Night Court"

I had a date with the Municipal Court today because of my accident a month ago.  For whatever reason, I was thinking it was going to be like that good ole' TV show, "Night Court."  I was sure that I would have to walk in, stand before a judge, plead my case, and accept the verdict.  I decided that I'm just not the sort of person who can plead "not guilty" when I'm guilty, so I just planned to answer whatever they asked honestly and see what happened.

Instead of an episode of "Night Court," it reminded me of those college days when that first payment was due!  I walked inside the building that had "court" in its name.  Instead of a bailiff and a gavel, there was a line of offenders and windows of cashiers.  Who knew?
