Her birthday of choice this year? Mac and cheese pizza from Cici's and Build-a-Bear. Some highlights of the day:
Aunt Saralyn and Uncle CJ gave Basia an army uniform. She liked it just a bit. Or maybe a whole lot.
Grandmother made all these cakes for the kids to decorate with frosting and candy galore.
These are the bears made by Basia and by her good friend. If you couldn't guess, the precious girly one is not Basia's! Seriously, the thing I enjoyed most about the Build-a-Bear party was how excited all the kids were to accessorize their bears! Basia chose a martial arts uniform complete with a variety of belts. We then threw in a sweatshirt she loved, and she bought her bear an ipod. Her friend who loves fairies made hers into a fairy. Camden made a Spider Man bear. Brishen and another boy went all Star Wars with their bears.
My mom not only made all those cute cakes. She also wrapped her gift in the coolest way EVER!
Once all the little kids went to bed, Basia carefully popped each balloon to find money inside each one. It was quite the treasure hunt!
She had a great day, and, when it was over, she only wished that she would wake up and have it start all over again.
