Zade Turns Three!

He started the day with birthday pancakes.  He was quite pleased with his stack.

Thanks, Grandma.  Zade likes to be one of the cool kids with his own Spiderman toy!

This track was Zade's main gift from us, and it has provided hours and hours and hours of fun for kids from the age of 1 through 14 plus a dad and grandmother.  It is a great, great toy!

Grandmother made Zade's awesome cake!  We spread Zade's gifts throughout the day.  Each time he got to open one, he was hoping it was the gift that contained his train cake.  He was quite pleased when Grandmother arrived with it.  He saw no reason why he couldn't help himself immediately.  We made him wait for swimming and pizza.  He was done swimming in record time.  His adoption day was all about the cake for him, and his birthday was the same.

And last year (since I couldn't post them then):

I'll never have a picture of Zade as a baby or of him on his 1st birthday, but here's the day we met him.  It brings tears to my eyes to think how far we have come together.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Zade.  He had only been with us a couple weeks, and food was (and still often is) a really big deal for him.  There was no way he would be happy with just a sliver of a sandwich.  Luckily Aunt Saralyn was there to give him a huge one.  He was a very happy boy.
