Cassia and Edison: By next Wednesday, the final relative homestudy will be rejected, freeing them for adoption by us. At stinkin' long last!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how far out the court date will be, but I will be so very happy to have a date to put on my calendar after all this time (25 months!)!
Soren and Tobias: Formerly known as Thing One and Poky Puppy. I now am confident enough to consider them our soon-to-be-adopted sons. Family still can come forward until August 5, but so far no one is showing any interest. The case worker will bring us in to read their files soon after August 5, and we can adopt any time after that. How exciting!! In foster care world, it will most likely be later in the fall before things are all done, but that's just fine with me!
Sir Smiles: Who knows. The relative placement for him was denied this week. The final hearing for his parents is next month. I have absolutely no clue what will be happening with him or his case. It should be interesting. UPDATE 1 Day Later: He's heading home next month. Visits start transitioning this week.
The Baby: Reunification is still the goal.
