Roo started standing up in the middle of the yard by himself--over and over again.  He was obsessed with standing today and took three steps toward me tonight.  I think we are getting closer to walking!

Brishen's first lesson on his bass.

Brishen and Basia set their own alarms to wake at 4:45 to be able to see this red moon.  Roo woke me a few minutes later, and I ran outside to see if I was too late, and I was.

The kids raked the first leaf pile of the season.

I took this picture in case he is part of the X Games one day.  This is his first time on a ramp.

I had to be so careful last year to get a picture of the kids playing in the leaves without showing faces.  This year I can show all these faces, and they are all hidden.  Nice.

Basia is the proud farmer of her very first green chiles!

I love that the kids have so many options in our yard.  They were each doing their own thing, and it seemed like a sweet moment of peace to me.

Can you tell how many Moores are in the fig tree?

Even Roo is ready to start climbing trees.  He loves it outside and wants to be in the middle of anything the big kids (big to him, anyway) are doing.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
