It seems strange that Zade is the same age as Cassia and Soren during these few months because Zade and Tobias are the second set of "twins" in the group.  By February, it will make more sense again with Cassia and Soren being 5 while these two will be the 4s.  That's the reality of their maturity levels and interests and silliness factors.  Last night there was a thunderstorm, and Tobias was pretty scared.  Zade told me that he would take care of Tobias, so they climbed into the same bed and giggled through the storm.  That would have been illegal if any of them were foster kids, so it was even sweeter to know that they are just plain ol' brothers these days and have each other's backs.  The world will need to watch out for them.  They are all sorts of shades of mischievous!  I love these boys just as they are even though they may drive me a bit crazy.

These two were the oldest children in their families of birth.  They retain that sense of maturity and responsibility.  They try hard to be good.  They are very much bonded as the olders of the littles, and I think it will become even more that way as they both start kindergarten together next year.  I'm guessing they will both be reading in the next few months.  I can see the future when they will be playing checkers together and rolling their eyes at the silly younger brothers.

He was supposed to be sleeping, and the markers were supposed to be under lock and key.

Do you see that Edison feels there's no need for a coloring book of his own?  He feels that there are ample surfaces, what with tables and faces and couches and other people's pages.  My kids spend lots and lots of time at this table "doing work."

Basia did all her Monday morning school work on Sunday night so she could catch an extra PE class this morning.  She lives for the activity and the social part of PE.  Twice a week is not enough for her, I guess.

Why, yes, the time has come.
The learner's permit has been obtained at last.
