Christmas Programs at Preschool

Last week was a busy one around here.  Cassia and Soren had their Christmas program on Thursday, and Tobias had his on Friday.
Soren sang!  He refused to do a single hand or body motion, but he sang!

Cassia, oh, Cassia, on the other hand...

All the Pre-K 4-year-olds entered the back of the sanctuary in a nice single-file line, waving to the crowd as they entered.  There was a problem, though.  A certain someone reached the entrance to the sanctuary and FROZE.  She refused to take a single step into the sanctuary no matter how much prompting.  Her teacher had to carry her in and hold her the entire rest of the program.  I'm told she does really, really well at the dress rehearsals.  Some day I may have to sneak into one of those!

Here is Soren singing but certainly not about to move his arms!

Oh, Tobias!  Will it embarrass him one day to mention that he got sent out of one of the last rehearsals for pulling down his pants?  I won't mention it then.  Let's just say Jon and I were a bit concerned about how he would perform.  This child likes a laugh and likes a crowd.  Rules mean nothing if he's getting a laugh!  We had nothing to worry about.  He danced his heart out.  He wiggled for song after song for the entire performance.  Even his teachers were shocked.  They said that he doesn't participate all that well during rehearsals.  Give this boy a crowd, though, and he's ready to shine!  I have a video, but it's too long to post here.  I'm not sure how to shorten it a bit, but if I do, I'll post it.  Cute stuff!
