Easter Eggs at Grandmother's

This boy is getting so big and handsome!

My mom did it again!  She hosted our crew for some awesome egg decorating.  I can't begin to tell you how great it is that the kids got to have a blast decorating eggs---and I didn't have to do anything!  Wowwweeeee!

They started with a fun decorating/science egg.  They painted their white paste onto their eggs, added food coloring, and added them to a cup of vinegar.  Fizz

Jon had taken allergy meds before we went, and he spent a good chunk of his time just like this!

 Fizzy success!

Then they went for some traditional dye.

 Asa got a turn, too.

I kept chasing him around trying to get a picture of his tummy painted just like an Easter egg, but he foiled my every attempt.  Here he is stealing the ceramic bunny.  You can sort of see the dye patterns on his leg.

Tobias dyed himself more than his eggs.

Brishen and Basia got to do their extra fancy decorating in the house.  Yes, fingernail polish was invovled!

Grandmother sent us home with treats, too!

Thanks, Mom, for spoiling us rotten!!!

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
