Nutcracker

We know the soldier in blue!

 I took a batch of kids with our homeschool group to see a performance of The Nutcracker ballet.  It was performed by area youth, and a couple of the girls selected to be in it are in our homeschool group.  It was a special daytime performance, so it was shortened to an hour to accommodate groups of kids.  That was perfect for us!  Cassia very much wants to be on that stage one day.  Maybe it's time to sign her up for dance.

We really didn't know where we were going on the UTEP campus, so we meandered our way to the auditorium.  We liked our path so much that we went back the same way.  We found the art department's sculptures and other works of art in progress.  The kids loved seeing what could be created from old tires!
