Yes Kind of Day

I'm having a "yes" kind of day.  It's a rarity around here.  Can you imagine saying yes to all the requests of a gaggle of geese?  One "yes" always leads to another request.  The Tower of Babel probably started when some tired mom accidentally said "yes" to her kids' wild idea.

My middles and littles are creating a carnival.  They are positive that there will be an influx of visitors in a couple hours.

Some of my "yes"es so far:

1. Sure, you can write all over the plain white t-shirts I purchased to go under itchy sweaters and button up shirts.  Staff shirts had to be created somehow.

2.  Sure, you can use the snacks and juices that I probably would have served you all at some point.  I won't imagine at all that you will all eat them yourself as soon as your carnival is open for business.

3.  Sure, you can sell all the free range, fresh chicken eggs for a dollar a dozen.  Why should I mind if I have to buy inferior quality eggs for actual money when I feed and house this brood of hens year round and usually get to enjoy their eggs in return?

4.  Sure, you can make thousands of paper airplanes for Asa's booth.  I'm told the little visitors will need something special to do in case their rides are too scary.  Sure, you should give them away for free since they're just paper.  I'm not sure why Walmart didn't think of giving me the pack of paper for free, as well.  It's just paper.

5.  Sure, you can invite people in to use our bathroom if the need arises.

6.  Sure, you can prop open the gate and solicit strangers to enter your carnival in my yard and home.

I am relieved to hear that they decided not to offer wine.  I'm not exactly sure how that even became a topic for them, but they really are trying to think of everything.  I'll add to the list if I have more items to agree to at some point in this yet new day of "yes."

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
