We joined our church group on a hike through Auchenbach Canyon today. To me, there is no better way for our family to spend a Saturday: all together, breathing fresh air, moving our bodies, and in awe of God's creation. I can't spend EVERY Saturday in this manner, though, because I also enjoy loading my mom's car with garage sale finds or perusing the farmer's market. Luckily we get a Saturday every week!
Brishen and Basia were given the nickname, "mountain goats," because of their extra climbing up and down all sorts of rock formations. Grandmother would not have enjoyed this particular spot. Brishen is right at the top of a tall waterfall (when there is water in the area, that is).
