Sliding and Studying

Another regular day around here, for most of us, at least. Basia had more excitement than the rest of us, since she and her imaginary friend, Josh, had a karate class, went scuba diving, and went on a safari--all before lunch. It's amazing how an old Halloween doctor's jacket can turn into a karate jacket and then into something very necessary for scuba diving, as long as you have the right imagination. The weather was beautiful today. The kids spent a lot of time outside. Charlie decided to get in on the sliding, too.

While Basia was on all her adventures, Brishen was snuggling up on the couch with a good math review book. He had a typical Monday of Math, Reading, Writing, Latin, History, Memory, and Typing. The rest of his week will be fairly light--he'll be too busy hanging out with his Winkles cousins!

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
