Here's Basia's introduction of her newest little friend:
"Crackers" does a back flip and a front flip and jumps. He sleeps on the floor because that's where his mom and dad lives. He drinks water from bottles. He wants a blanket when he gets cold. Crackers also wants to watch a little bit of TV--hmm, I'm sensing Basia using Crackers to possibly get something that she's wanting.
Basia and Brishen got to spend a little time with Grandmother on Thursday. They had a great time. They made soapbox cars that didn't actually work, but they enjoyed the whole process just the same. Thanks, Grandmother!!
Today was the March of Dimes' March for Babies walk. As we drove up and saw all the tents setting up in the park, Basia announced, "Mom, it's a festival!" Her favorite spot, by far, was this sandbox full of corn kernels She played in it before the walk (and got filthy) and some more after the walk (and got beyond filthy). The kids and I joined 18 people from our church in the 7 1/2 mile walk. Basia can't claim she did too much walking, since she spent almost the whole time in the wagon. She really thought that was high living! Brishen did great, and especially enjoyed getting to chat with his friend, Renata, the whole way. Thank you much to the family members that sponsored us!! Our church group raised almost $500 at last count!
