Busy Sunday

We all woke up pretty grumpy on Sunday morning, so we decided to make some cookies to give out as gifts. It really worked like a charm. None of us were grumpy after that. There's nothing like baking cookies in a fancy dress, when there is no reason at all for you to be wearing a dress.

We didn't have time for Basia to get an actual nap, so she had "rest" time. That means relaxing in bed with some books. I think that she must have gotten out of bed a time or two because she came to get me when rest time was over, and there wasn't actually much room in her bed for her to rest.

My mom, my sister, and I went to see Cats yesterday afternoon. Those little yellow things are used ear plugs! We had front row seats, and they handed them out to us before the show began.

The day ended with a lasagna dinner and bell choir concert. Every year the kids especially love pushing around the dessert cart. Brishen did a great job playing bells. His teacher told me that she has never had such young ringers do such difficult ringing. We are proud of them!

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
