Another Tuesday

We often have those regular sorts of days when I don't know that we have done anything worth blogging about. Today was one of those regular sorts of days. We ran bilingual story time this morning, but there were very few children to listen to us read, so we mostly read to our own preschoolers. We went to the library so Basia could get her final prize for the reading program and then ate lunch there under a tree outside. We went from there to my mom's house to take care of the garden, the chickens, and her business while she's away. The afternoon was spent doing school, playing, reading, and wishing for some cooler temperatures.

Three dogs (our dog, Charlie, and my mom's dogs, Beau and Jake) chased Basia around the house over and over again this afternoon. I think they were all hot and worn out by the time their game ended. Our oldest dog would have nothing to do with that silly game.

It's so nice to take care of someone else's garden when you get to take home the harvest for your own fresh-picked supper! There's just nothing like it.

Brishen's Birthday, Too

We were in Sacramento on Brishen's birthday, but we made it home to celebrate the next day.  He wanted green chile potato corn chowder...
