Turning Point?

This past week was Vacation Bible School at our church. The kids loved it, as always. Today many children wore their VBS shirts to church and sang a few of their songs for the congregation.

Basia is definitely dramatic and full of character, but she usually refuses to be in front of an audience. She just hates people to look at her and tell her she's cute, unless it's her own idea.

As of this morning, she told me she would not get in front of the congregation and sing. To my surprise she decided to go along with her brother and sing for not one, but two services. She stood right up there and did all the motions like a champ and sang along when she could. It was so sweet to see her look back to Brishen to get a boost of confidence every now and then.

Is this a turning point? Will there be Christmas programs and children's theater in her future after all? Who knows, but I'm proud of her for being brave today.
